                                Carbide Wear Plate

The main composition for carbide wear plates is WC+CO, so most of the grades are YG series.  Carbide wear plates have the same characteristic as all the carbide products: good wear resistance and high impact strength.


The main usage for carbide plates is as below:

1. Used for making blanking die. It should be used to make high-speed die and multi-station progressive die for blanking copper, aluminum, stainless steel, cold-rolled sheet, EI sheet, Q195, SPCC, silicon steel sheet, hardware, standard parts, upper and lower punches, etc.

With this usage, we often need to grind the edge as sharp as we can. If the grade decarbonized when sintering, it is easy to be chipped under grinding. So the carbide grades choose and the quality control in very important. And the welding internal stress is also a key factor to affect the performance. 3. Used for installing on the transfer chute as wear resistant plates.

The wear resistant plates are applied to various harsh environments, such as high temperate, low cold and high impact. Also they are suitable for wear resistant protection for equipment which working with large transport volume, big size material, and extreme impact conditions.

The carbide tiles are bonded to the backing plates. The carbide tiles grade is uniquely developed after many site testing with high hardness and T.R.S, to apply an extremely abrasive, high-impact working environment, which cannot be compared to other materials, such as chromium carbide plate, wear resistant ceramic plates and so on.

4. Used as wear plates for sanding making machines.

This kind of wear plates also used vacuum welding to braze the carbide tiles onto the steel backing plate. With the high bonding strength, the end-user no need to worry the carbide tiles will be fall off during use to break the machines.

5. Used as liners for refractory brick mold

Dies for refractory bricks refer to models for forming refractory bricks. The shape and geometric dimensions of the mold are designed according to the shape of the product, and its structure consists of a mold frame, a backing plate and a template. The formwork is subjected to the forming pressure exerted by the brick press, which makes a great friction force between the brick and the formwork. Therefore, the surface of the template is easy to wear. Generally, if the wear reaches 0.3-0.4mm, it is not allowed to continue to use.

Presently the main material for the refractory brick molds is carbon steel, high-chromium alloy steel, high-chromium cast iron and steel-bonded cemented carbide. But the wear resistance of these materials is inferior to that of tungsten carbide. So apply the tungsten carbide to the refractory brick mold is what end-user is thinking of. And brazing is the most proper bonding method.

The liners for refractory brick mold are brazing small pieces of carbide tiles onto the steel backing plates. Compare the life-cycle and performance; customer can save about 25% production cost. At present, we are selling them to domestic companies, also exporting them to Brazil, Russia, and Portugal and so on.
